چکیده

Dongting Lake plays an important role in water regulation and biodiversity protection, but it is vulnerable to climate change human activities. To quantify surface changes factors driving them, long-term variation was investigated using the multiple spectral indices method based on a decision tree classification for full time-series Landsat MODIS datasets. Factors influencing were explored by combining annual maximum permanent occurrent with meteorological hydrological data. The results showed that both decreased from 1975 2019 trends of rainfall runoff at three outlets also changed. increased during 1990s due high again after 2000. A significant stage sequence 1986 occurred 2003, which coincided beginning work construct Three Gorges Dam (TGD). about 360 km2 150 × 108 m3 impoundment TGD, likely main cause 2003. area changed pre-TGD period into seasonally occurring post-TGD periods 209 km2, while 31 km2. Meteorological elements activities have had comprehensive impact Lake. Rainfall temperature account one-third influence water, factor wet season, dry season. Runoff outlets, four rivers Chenglingji explain half water; mainly affected water. monthly fluctuates regularly has strong seasonal characteristic. Indeed, are significantly altered when drought or flooding occurs, causes diverse complex.

Prediction of Oncomelania Hupensis Distribution Based on Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis Technology in Dongting Lake Region of China

The amphibious snail Oncomelania hupensis(O. hupensis) is the only intermediate host of Schistosomiasis japonica, which is a parasitic disease of considerable public health and economic significance. The survival of O. hupensis is governed by climatic and environmental factors, including vegetation, temperature, soil type and water level, etc. In this study, the environmental factors were deriv...

Remote Sensing of Tidal Situation by Monitoring Changes in Suspended Sediment Concentration in Surface Waters

Collecting information on suspended sediments concentration (SSC) in coastal waters and estuaries is vital for proper management of coastal environments. Traditionally, SSC used to be measured by time consuming and costly point measurements. This method allows the accurate measurement of SSC only for a point in space and time. Remote sensing from air-borne and space-borne sensors have proved to...

On the Seasonal Changes in the Surface Water Chemistry of Museum Lake, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India

The surface water chemistry of Thiruvananthapuram Museum Lake was carried out in the period of February 2013 to January 2014. Correlation study of the parameters and overall CCME WQI (Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment Water quality Index) was also prepared in the study for the lake water. The parameters analysed are cations such as Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+ and K+ and the anions like PO4-,...

Temporal monitoring of water level changes in Seyfe Lake using remote sensing

The Earth’s water resources are endangered by inconsiderate use, pollution and lack of conservation measures. Temporal monitoring is necessary for the conservation and usage planning of water resources and to make informed decisions. Seyfe Lake and its environs in Turkey is one of the most important water basins in the world, because it is a node on bird migration paths between Europe, Asia and...
